Re: Lanzini contract news
From the twattersphere..... sounds promising but nothing definite:

“I hope to be sitting here next season in this dressing room. It’s what I want,” he told the Daily Mail. “When you’re at a club and feeling like you have an important role, you want to stay.

“But I am focused on this season. I have six or seven months of my loan to run so we’ll see what happens.

“This is going to give West Ham a boost. As a stadium, it’s fantastic — the facilities around the complex. It will be great for the players and fans alike. I hope we can do our bit to live up to the setting.”

Re: Lanzini contract news
We've always had the option to sign him at the end of the season.

So the answer to the question you were asked Mr Gold is NO, he's not signed so it is is rumours BUT we have an option...

Note option, not deal, agreement or contract. An option.

Good news.

Re: Lanzini contract news
More similarities to Pato at the age of sale Alex and because of Pato and others, Lanzini went Arab

Too many young starlets have failed in Europe and burnt the hand that bought due to jumping too early and their taking a bad injury after the move

Ergo Neymar holding on well past his first hitting the radar - that and global economic change in football of course

Hmmm, Alex V.

A lot of similarities to Zarate, who also went to the middle-east and was a similar prospect at a similar age.

Re: Lanzini contract news
Nope, he was a star performer at under 20 level in the WC, everyone knew of him and watched his progress. He played for high profile clubs River Plate and Fluminense and critically, holds an Italian passport

Just so happen that a bankrupt River and his advisors took the highest bid - the Arab money.

European clubs have seen many 'new Messi's', 'new Maradona's' and would not go that far, particularly as they operate in a different financial environment to the EPL.

That said do not be shocked to hear that he has a release clause in our deal - I would be staggred if there were not one on a six year deal

Re: Lanzini contract news
I was under the impression that lanzini was considered a risk due to his size. Was that not true or did that come into it too?

Crassus 9:27 Sun Dec 20
Re: Lanzini contract news
Absolutely the way of things in S America

Elsewhere too as it goes but more obvious due to the players involved

Ah the old Joorabchian style thing?

Crassus 9:23 Sun Dec 20
Re: Lanzini contract news
Because, in spite of being 'The Jewel', his handlers extracted more cash from the sand wogs than the leading European teams, who were all watching him, would cough

Lanzini was and is no secret to world football

The handshake seals the contract
From the contract there's no turning back

Re: Lanzini contract news
Why did he end up in the middle east then Crassus?

Crassus 9:15 Sun Dec 20
Re: Lanzini contract news
Not wishing to piss on the Christmas chips but just remember this lads history to date and why he ended up in the desert

I dont doubt that we have bomb proof contractual access to him, what excersises my cynical mind is that were I to be drafting that contract for him, or should I say his owners, I would ensure that I have a robust sell on clausetrigger value

So really dont be shocked to hear that we sign him for 8m Euros then sell him for 10m to Liverpool on June 1st
